About

Take…

…the desire to make a solo album. Take the decision to call it Hello Magnificent Future and to make it an album about “time”.

Do so, …

…by using your recording experiences in some of the worlds most renowned studios like Metropolis, London (UK) and by using your knowledge and expertise, learned from some of the greatest producers and mixers in music business, like

multi-platinum award-winning Record Producer and Recording Engineer George Shilling (UK) who worked amongst others with artists like Blur, Primal Scream, Soup Dragons, Teenage Fanclub, Texas, Mike Oldfield, Steve Winwood, The Corrs, Mike Finnigan, Ocean Color Scene, Porcupine Tree, Frank Turner, Stornoway, Paul Carrack and Mary J. Blige;

Grammy Award winning Tim Young (UK) who worked with artists like The Clash, Sade, The Smiths, Elton John, The Pretenders, The Killers, Manic Street Preachers, Queen, Madonna, Jamiroquai, Joan Armatrading, Placebo, Paul Weller, The Smiths, Tindersticks, Massive Attack, DJ Shadow, Elbow and Editors;

Zed (Slovenia) who worked with artist like The Exploited, Autopulver and Kent.

Explore…

…the energy from previous album and single releases that spurred you to go on European tours, to play crowds as big as ten thousand in many festivals, that gave you spots in hit-lists, with radio singles and music videos connecting your music with your fans.

Use…

…the knowledge and network of the record company you’re signed to.

That’s what I brought to the table, when I decided to create Hello Magnificent Future. My first solo project, that just took off.

I was with my band Moonlake, signed to an independent label in Amsterdam, before being discovered by Luc Van Acker (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Lords of Acid). Van Acker introduced us to BMG/SONY and we released our second album Oscillating Headcom. This album was produced by George Shilling (UK) and Zed (Slovenia) and mastered by Tim Young (UK) at Metropolis Studios in London (UK). We started touring again in Europe and played clubs, venues and festivals throughout The Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Norway and France. We also were opener for Porcupine Tree on their European tour. Thanks to Van Acker, we were now getting attention in our home-country Belgium as well. We stayed for weeks in the hit-list of popular radio station Studio Brussels and played several clubs and festivals.

Two years ago I decided I wanted to do a solo project and called it It’s Tuesday In Ljubljana. This name is the result of my visits to the Balkan region, due to another endeavor I created that focuses on creativity in education. I co-founded the MyMachine Global Foundation (www.mymachineglobal.org), a multi-award winning methodology with endorsements by none other then Sir Ken Robinson (most viewed TED-Talk worldwide), Sir Richard Branson, The New York Academy of Sciences, The George Lucas Education Foundation, Harvard University and United Nations. It now is running in 8 countries on 3 continents, including Slovenia. Regular visits to the capitol Ljubljana, made me excited about the creativity and liveliness and the beautiful eclectic architecture in the city.

The debut album is just launched worldwide and is available in all digital stores like iTunes, Apple Music, Shazam, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon, Deezer, Africa Simfy and many others. I started recording in May 2015. The very first song that was ready is the last song on the album called Nick Of Time, which brings the feel of what Ljubljana sounds like in the wee hours of an awaking Tuesday. The Delo, one of the most important newspapers in the country, immediately reported about the song as being “excellent music for good mornings in the city”.

Announcing the launch of the album is the first single called Walk With Me To The Grand Show. This song is picked up by Robert Prichard, co-founder of Radio Free Brooklyn (New York, USA). It gave the song airplay at the East side of the Brooklyn Bridge. The question is if the rest of the album could make it as well to the West side of the Brooklyn Bridge and beyond.
